At OFLOW, our mission is rooted in Jesus’ message to love all. We seek to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels seen, accepted, and valued. From premium coffee, tea, and boba to scratch‑made baked goods prepared without preservatives, everything we serve is crafted with love and shared with kindness.
Doug Berg, owner, operations leader, and the baker behind the ovens, is in the shop most days—baking, serving, and connecting with customers. Doug left a well‑paying career to start OFLOW (originally Overflow – Brews & Bakes) as a way to live out Christ’s love through compassion, generosity, and community. Many people ask why it’s called OFLOW—the name comes from Psalm 23:5: “My cup overflows.” It’s a reminder that God’s goodness, love, and provision pour out abundantly, and we are called to share that overflow with others.
We care deeply about every person we hire—baristas and baker’s assistants alike. Many of our team members begin their very first job at OFLOW, and we intentionally invest in their growth, teaching skills they can carry into their future and supporting them as individuals—not just employees.
OFLOW is truly a family effort. Sally, Doug’s wife, works behind the scenes running the business and personally connects with customers for catering and High Tea reservations, while stepping in during special events. Their children are slowly learning to serve alongside them as runners and dishwashers, growing up in a place built on faith, work ethic, and love for others.
Though we are all different, we believe in Jesus’ love for everyone. Our prayer is that each person feels that love the moment they walk through our doors—and leaves knowing they matter.
Coffee with a Purpose.
We proudly partner with Narrow Gate Coffee in Franklin, supporting their mission to train and equip young men—some in recovery—with sustainable skills, such as coffee roasting. Every cup you purchase helps support this life‑changing work. We also collaborate with local nonprofits, charities, and small businesses and host special events, such as cookie decorating and holiday photos, to uplift our community year‑round.

Pay It Forward
You give, we bake—and deliver to The Journey Home in Murfreesboro.

The Daily News Journal first shared our story on October 4, 2022, shortly after we opened our doors on September 1, 2022. What began as a small dream on the Square has since grown into a place shaped by learning, listening, and community.
In our early days, we were learning the business and discovering what our customers loved—and we still are. Along the way, we’ve continued to invest in our little shop to better serve our guests and our growing vision. Those investments have included major plumbing and electrical upgrades to support our premium coffee and freshly brewed teas, along with additional outlets so customers can plug in, settle in, and enjoy our free Wi‑Fi while they work or visit.
These upgrades also allowed us to bring in a new oven, expanding our ability to bake more items at the same time and grow our scratch‑made offerings. With that growth came something even more meaningful—our first hosted event. In February 2023, we welcomed families into the shop for our very first event, a Valentine’s Cookie Decorating, and it marked the beginning of many High Tea parties, decorating events, and community gatherings to come.
Today, OFLOW continues to grow with intention—learning from our customers, caring for our team, and staying rooted in our mission to bake with love, brew kindness, and serve our community through the overflow God has given us.
We’re grateful for every step of the journey—and for everyone who has been part of it.
